Engagement and Advocacy Sub Committee

Purpose

 

The Engagement and Advocacy Subcommittee supports the Board in developing and delivering an effective and sustainable advocacy and engagement strategy to strengthen WIL in Australia. Its purpose is to:

  • Maintain strong and consistent communication with WIL Australia members and key stakeholders, ensuring they are informed about WIL developments, policies and opportunities.

  • Strengthen partnerships and advance advocacy by collaborating with key stakeholders, including industry, government, accreditation bodies, and community organisations, to expand WIL opportunities, influence policy, and represent member interests.

  • Enhance member engagement through consultation, networking, and initiatives that amplify member voices and promote collaboration within the WIL Australia community.

 

Functions

To fulfil this purpose, the Subcommittee will:

  • Review and enhance communication and membership strategies to foster a connected, engaged, and informed WIL Australia community

  • Develop and recommend strategies to the Board for maintaining and growing WIL Australia’s membership base.

  • Advise on engagement initiatives that provide members with relevant national and international WIL developments, including policy updates, resources, and events.

  • Provide advice to the Board on all matters relating to WIL Australia’s advocacy and engagement activities

  • Act in the interests of the WIL Australia members, ensuring advocacy and engagement efforts align with their needs and priorities.

Member of WIL Australia Board and not less than three members drawn from the Board and/or State Chapter Committees and/or general membershi

 

Frequency of Meetings

Minimum of six per year.
